“Well this place is a bit different than I had expected,” Léan commented casually before she took a swig from the can of cheap Russian beer. Viggo or Maro as he was otherwise known as, gave her an amused look before mirthfully asking.
“What had you expected then?”
“That you would go for the full wine and dine or something like that.” The red-headed elf continued.
“Well I admit the thought had crossed my mind,” he replied with a shrug, “But I thought it’d rather take you some place more interesting.”
They were seated at a s
Something was off.
As she opened her eyes, finding herself lying on the floor of her library slash laboratory and staring at the roof, Iskra knew that something was wrong. Even if she had a hard time pinpointing what it was exactly. She rose up, reeling slightly as her head suddenly spun, and rubbed the bridge of her nose as if trying to rub out the pounding headache she was feeling. Iskra opened her eyes again.
The hand in front of her wasn’t hers.
She jerked backwards, only topple backwards back onto the carpet as her head spun again and she let out a groan.
With a voice that wasn’t hers either.
Iskra clamped her mouth shut, a s
Iskra’s boot heels clacked loudly against the stone floor as she strode down one of the many hallways that crisscrossed the insides of the Nivix, the Izzet League guild hall. Her face was calm and composed, grey eyes steely looking forward. Her long dark purple hair was braided together, the thing swaying from side to side as she moved with a purpose. Her rapier strapped and her heavy spellbook strapped to her belt. Ahead of her Izzet magewright's parted to the side as she walked. The same motley collection of ever curious and diligent researchers dressed in clothes covered with scorch and acid burns from various experiments that she re
Iskra’s heart was beating like a Gruul war drum as she tried making herself as small as possible. Hiding in a gap between a pair of large bookshelves she was eyeing the opening nervously. It was only through concerted mental effort that she managed to control her breathing again. The noise of her chipped breaths seemed to echo throughout the large room in her ears. Outside in the large library, there was someone or something, looking for her.
She knew she had been onto something special when she had come across an old diary entry that had made mention of a private collection that had recently changed owners. Although recently mightR
Copilot: “Man I wish I had a beer and some popcorn right now.”
Pilot: “You wish, good luck trying to find some these days.”
C:“Hey, maybe I will, just so I can see your sorry face when I eat them.”
P:“Haha, as if. Now focus, the K will probably hit the coast any minute now-”
Radio: “Dome Head to all units, the Kaiju, nicknamed Ridley, is making landfall in five minutes, I repeat, five minutes.”
C:“Has anyone told command that Dome Head is perhaps a poor choice of words?”
P:“Maybe but that would bereave us of a good chuckle whenever they say it so hell no.”

“Why do you even bother persisting with this?” He said heatedly, “You know how fleeting their lives are to us and before you even realize it she will have passed away from old age while you have barely aged a year. So please, I implore you, give up this foolish notion and leave her.”
She looked down at her feet before she balled her hands into fists and stared at him.
“Then let it remain that!” She replied with tears brimming in her eyes, “Let it be a fleeting moment, a mere drip in the stream of time! It will still be a moment I will cherish forever and ever until my last breath has been taken. And I
It didn’t take him long to notice that she was missing. At first he tried calling out her name but with the general noise level at the market he realized it was futile endeavour so he resorted to simply walking back the way he came. He was annoyed, both at her for sneaking off like that and at himself for not paying enough attention to notice it. Especially since it hadn’t been the first time she’d snuck away to cause some kind of mischief or some other reason.
He suddenly felt someone tapping him on the shoulder and a voice talking in somewhat slurred common.
“Excuse me, is this yours?”
He turned around to see a
“God be with you child for you have been chosen to-”
“Please, turn down the lightshow. I’m trying to sleep here.”
“But child, I bring you the joyous news that you are one of god’s chosen who are to ascend unto the heavens as part of the Rapture for lo the end times are nigh.”
“Not interested.”
“I beg you pardon child?”
“I said, not interested.”
“How can one not be filled with joy in knowing that you hath been chosen to ascend?”
“As I said, not interested.”
“But child, dark times are ahead. There will be strife and misery all aroun
“Where are you hiding poppet?”
“Poppet? Really Krug? We’re on a raid right now and here you go around calling people poppet?”
“Well what’s wrong with that?”
“Well first of all it sounds really dumb. Secondly, it sounds like you’re taking some girl out for a wine and dine.”
“Yeah, and?”
“We’re here to pillage this place. Not really wine and dine them.”
“Then what would you suggest? You seriously expect me to go “Pardon our intrusion miss, we are just here to ravish you a little”?”
“Well okay that might a bit too much bu
